The bordering streets for Bloor West Village are Jane Street to the west, running North south. Runnymede Rd to the west, Annette St. to the north and Bloor St. W. to the south. A well established neighbourhood with larger Victorian homes on smaller lots built mostly in the 1880's and 1920's.

According to in this article, one of the main reasons this neighbourhood has such a great business and village feel is due to the first settlers in this area, the majority being from Eastern Europe. Hence the great variety and multitude of independent small businesses along Bloor. Also annually there is a Ukrainian Festival to commemorate this heritage as well. This festival and more are hosted by the Business Improvement Association, (BIA), such as the July Festival and the Pumpkin Festival at Halloween. So whether you are looking for residential or commercial real estate in this neighbourhood, you've definitely got strong reasons to consider Bloor West Village as your home.

Parks and Recreation:
Bloor West Village residents are very lucky to be near the largest of Toronto's downtown city parks; High Park, it's entrance being just to the eastwards on Bloor. St. W. There is no shortage of recreational activities to get you and the family involved in here. The 35 Jane St. bus runs north from the Jane St. stop on the Bloor - Danforth Subway line.
The 26 Dupont bus leaves the Jane St. Subway stop on the Bloor Danforth Subway line, travels north on Jane and then heads easterly on Annette towards Dupont and ultimately to the St. George Subway stop on the Bloor - Danforth Subway line.
The 71 Runnymede Bus runs from the Runnymede Stop on the Bloor - Danforth Subway line.

Shopping and Restaurants:
As mentioned above, Bloor West village is a thriving business community with no shortage of bakeries, boutiques and restaurants. It's got the lot.
